On the 4th of September, Our Transition Year students enjoyed an incredible TY Bonding Day packed with outdoor adventure and community spirit in the Lake county! The day kicked off with engaging group activities in Decoktek Park, Collinstown organised by Boycey Sports and some rounds of Pitch and Putt in the local club in Collinstown. Following the morning events, students gathered for a delicious lunch kindly prepared by the local camogie club to keep energy levels high. Blessed with glorious sunshine, the group then moved on to the scenic shores of Lough Lene. Everyone took full advantage of the great weather, diving into fun water activities including paddling and swimming. Next, the trip brought students to historic Fore to explore the famous Seven Wonders and the impressive ruins of Fore Abbey. The group completed the picturesque Nancy to Nellie loop walk while keeping an eye out for local fairies along the woodland route. To wrap up a successful outing, everyone treated themselves to ice cream, coffee, and delicious baked goods before boarding the buses home. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to relax, strengthen new friendships, and celebrate the great outdoors together!
