Booklists
Booklists for 1st, 2nd, TY, LCA and 5th year 2026 - 2027.
You should read this list, tick the required books and forward the list (either by way of email or by personally calling into the shop) to Navan Bookshop from the 1st July 2026. Ordering and collection of books for 1st, 2nd, TY, LCA and 5th year is strictly limited to the month of July and Navan Bookshop will not be able to deal with these year group lists after the 31st July.
It is imperative that you include the following details with your book list:
- Student Name
- Year Group
- Parent/Guardian Name
- Parent/Guardian contact number
Please be sure to collect all the books your daughter requires and is receiving under the Free Book Scheme as ALL books must be returned to the school at the end of each cycle and your are liable for charges for replacing any lost, UNCOLLECTED, damaged or unreturned books as all books given to students are the property of the school and will be passed on to other students in years to come.
N.B. If the Bookshop does not have all your books at the first collection (sometimes deliveries can be slow), it is your responsibility to ensure to collect the book once the book is back in stock – not having collected the book at the start cannot be used as a reason for not returning the book at the end of each cycle. This will be deemed an uncollected book and will incur fines.
In addition, this year we are introducing a fully refundable deposit of €50 for any student receiving books at the start of a learning cycle i.e. 1st year and 5th year. 1st and 5th year students should bring €50 in cash only when they are attending induction – the deposit will be collected by the office and stored away, to be returned at the end of the Junior or Leaving Cert cycle once all books are returned satisfactorily.
Any books marked “provided by the school” on the booklist will be distributed to students during Induction as well.
Core classroom resources are also included in the Free Book Scheme and these will be distributed along with your books. This is a prescribed list of items and any additional items must be paid for separately by parents/guardians.
Book Grant Application Form (5th & 6th year only)
For the relief of families experiencing difficulties, a grant towards the cost of books may be offered by the Department of Education. They define a pupil in need “as a child from a home where there is genuine hardship because of unemployment, prolonged illness of a parent, large family with inadequate means”.
As the fund is limited, you are asked to sign this form and return it to us only if you come within these terms.
The amount available for disbursement to you is dependent on the total available to the school and the requirements of each year group.
