The Wild About Loreto Biodiversity Club is a student-led team which aims to make our school grounds greener, wilder, and more biodiverse. To date we have planted over 250 native trees, created a wildflower meadow and are managing a 2,000 m² rewilding zone to allow nature to return. To help this process we have built and installed bird boxes, bat boxes and hedgehog houses. Students who participate have a real opportunity to carry out direct and meaningful actions for nature.

While focusing on our habitats, we also occasionally team up with the Green-Schools team and we are beginning to build connections with local community groups like Wild About Navan and Navan Tidy Towns. Whether you want to gain real field research experience, protect local wildlife, or just spend your lunchtime outdoors making a tangible difference, you’re always welcome!
