On Thursday the 30th of November, 50 Sixth Year history students and their teachers travelled to the Stormont Parliament in Belfast, as part of the Northern Ireland Assembly Education Programme. This trip included an insight into the history of the parliament, a tour of the Assembly and Upper House and a mock parliament debate in the Assembly Hall. There were two MLA question and answer sessions where students got to experience  different viewpoints from politicians on both the Nationalists and Unionists side. The Sixth Year students found this trip very informative and gained a deeper insight into the politics and history of Northern Ireland.
