Tuesday was a very active day in the school on the second day of Social Justice Week. Circular Fashion Ireland with support from Meath County Council worked alongside our TY Swap Shop Committee to run a very successful Swap Shop and a number of a Fast Fashion talks and discussions with TY and 5th year students. Class 2 Justice and students from the Biodiversity Group were busy outside planting trees in our school grounds. TY class Tara had a talk from Naomi Gallagher from Meath Women’s Refuge about the vital work they do in the community. Global Citizenship Education was in full swing in many subject classes across the timetable where teachers chose to look at various social justice issues such as the importance of pollinators and fairtrade, through the lense of their subject and beyond.
