Well done to our senior soccer team yesterday on their outstanding performance against St Pauls Monasterevin in a shield match. The girls were off to a great start with super star player Sophie Brady quickly getting the opening goal. This followed by both Charley Coogan and jane Smyth finding the back of the net. We had a 3-0 lead at half time. In the second half substitutions were made, allowing some new players to have a run, including Caroline Comiskey who had a great debut. The defence line were invincible, whilst the forwards kept adding to the score board. Captain Erin Moore scored two tremendous goals followed by two more from Jane Smyth and Charley Coogan, as well as one great shot from Fionnuala Conlon. Sophie then returned from the bench with unfinished business and scored one last goal to finish it off. Final score 11-0. Well done girls.
