Camogie

Loreto St Michael’s has a long and proud tradition of camogie and throughout the years several past pupils have gone on to wear the green and gold of Meath camogie at levels including Senior.

2019/2020 was the schools most successful year on the camogie field with the Junior team winning the schools first Leinster Junior championship and making it all the way to the All Ireland Final. The Junior team won the Leinster Final by defeating St Finan’s Mullingar in a very close and nail biting contest.

Not content with a Leinster title the squad continued on the hunt for success and gave one of the best performances ever seen in Loreto colours when they came back from a large halftime deficit to defeat Sacred Heart Newry by one solidarity point earning them a spot in the showcase All Ireland Final. The final didn't go the girls way as they were defeated by Scoil Dun Iascaigh of Cahir County Tipperary.

The school was also represented at Senior level where the squad narrowly missed out on a Leinster Final appearance.
