Loreto Navan made a strong showing at today's annual swimming gala held at the National Aquatic Centre. Our talented swimmers competed in individual and team relay events, showcasing their skills and dedication.
We are thrilled to congratulate Veronica Gonzalez, Hannah Lowry, Robyn Lowry, and Sophie O’ Donoghue on qualifying for the finals. Their hard work and determination paid off, and their impressive performances.
A special mention goes to Sophie O'Donoghue, a 6th-year student, who won a bronze medal in the 50m backstroke. This is Sophie's final Loreto Gala, and she has undoubtedly left a lasting impact on our swimming team over the years.
We are also delighted to report that ten first-year students participated in the 25m race. Their enthusiasm and enjoyment of the day were evident, and we look forward to seeing them continue to develop their swimming skills in the years to come.
Overall, Loreto Navan had a successful and enjoyable day at the swimming gala. The dedication and hard work of our swimmers were on full display, and we are proud of their accomplishments.
